vivre en 3D.

bonjour à tous,

it was such a long time ago that I finally set off to write blog about myself and not countries, in English and not Vietnamese. for some reasons, English possesses the greater capacity for me to express myself when I wander in bundles of my thoughts, and because it sounds more natural I guess. may be it was a habit for English writers or whoever that write and think in English to perform such dramatic monologues that it was seen as a norm now. nevermind, let's hop into it now.

what is 3D?

I hope that the title was misleading enough for you to hop in and see what comes next, only to realize you have been fooled. hmm what might it be? 3D animation or what? none of them. 3D is not living inside 3 d*cks, but what it really means is

  • Diligence

  • Desensitize

  • Delayed gratification

before I explain what the fuck each means, let's take a second to savior how irony that my mom's life correlate with all 3 key features. and her name, when written in English (Điệp → Diep) also starts with D.

it dawned on me that D can remind me of so many serious things in life other than d*cks.

Diligence.

okay baby we're at the first D, and I suck at this ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° gotchu)

Diligence refers to the quality of doing small things with great effort, and it's a word that can probably cover everything Japan'd been trying to show the world. so unique, beautiful, neat, clean, etc. sadly, I'm not Japan, I do stuff damn slow and I suffer from long term absent-mindedness, due to my multi-tasking nature. when it comes to things that I hate such as cooking and sports (especially cooking) I got in to immense anxiety and just fuck up.

it may seem strange but Diligence is a sustainable key to happiness, because it is the root for gratitude. you can't be grateful without sweating over such a small task. the quality of doing small tasks tells more about you than when you do greater tasks. I don't know why I can bang on researching about 195 countries and also sweating when being in the kitchen, which we can explain in the next D.

Desensitize.

if you think about it, this is actually a very powerful word if used in the right context. Desensitize is getting used to something, usually something you're terrified of. it is frequently used in the settings of phobia or something really negative, which solemnly reflected doing chores and seeing my mom get angry when I fuck up.

to build a habit, you have to do it over and over again. why? because doing that will desentisitize you in the process, and making you do it a bit smoother everytime, to a point that doing it seems to be your nature and you're 100% comfortable with it (although this is not always reachable)

but there is no need to worry or stress out, even when you don't reach to the peak of doing something, you get less scared along the way. exposing yourself to scenarios that you're afraid of like being on stage can help you in the long run when you have to do it again. we all know that if Sussie and Molly have to give a presentation in front of the whole school they will be scared as fuck, but if one of them has been doing that before, they will still be scared but one will be a bit more confident than the other, due to experience in advance.

this may sound weird but if you want to be scared of something less, get exposed to it. and don't apply this to serious crime or negative things like violence, sexual abuse or such, only to things that you can apply the next D with.

Delayed gratification.

a pain in the ass, really. but will be worth it.

Delayed gratification is doing things for the future you and not you at the moment. it never gives immediate results so understandable why people give up after their first week, day or hour of gym. they either pushed to hard or their willpower and other motivation sources are flaccid (hey hey do it and get motivation, don't get to youtube videos, I beg of you)

the way you probably achieve this is by applying the 2 prescribed D - Diligence and Desentisize. and if you want to achieve one of these just do the 2 lefts, for ever single one of them.

the fun part about Delayed gratification is you never know when the results will come, so you make a habit out of it, do it literally on auto-pilot mode (attention - DiLiGeNcE) and one spring day you're surprised to see how you're much healthier and stronger than you used to be.

live in 3D to live in 3D with full Technicolor. what are you waiting for?
