there is no y

Updated: Dec 24, 2022

I think consciousness has a bad habit of trying to make sense of everything, like who am I and why am I here. we have the tendency to invent meaning, as meaning is crucial to the soul to as food is to the body to stay alive. we do something for a reason, not for the sake of doing it alone. but we never go past our questions far enough to to see that there is no such “why” here.

I find it funny that we try to do so many things. in the process, we don’t realize that we’re creating more problems as we’re trying to solve them. if you want to save the world from flooding then go turn off the faucet instead of inventing gucci buckets.

I wonder what humans will do when there is no longer hunger or inequality or any problem whatsoever. we beat ourselves up and never allow ourselves to rest because “something needs to be done”. too often, we’re taught that we needs to get something done, then we’re allowed to feel happy. this to-do culture is destructive as it makes no room for to-be, which is crucial to happiness.

but what if I say that lots of things you thought as real are only illusions. the economy is the illusion of progress, of getting somewhere. businesses are born as an illusion of needs. you can physically live without certain products, but you can’t mentally without some due to your attachment to them. even meaning itself is an illusion. peace starts when you accept things just as they are, including yourself. things just are.

so let me show you the alphabet that I love.

there is no y here.
