stardust.

I met Tagore on the streets

humming to wonders he create

seeing halo around his head

illumination of words from his mouth

slowly I asked him

what does it take for man to be happy?

let life be beautiful like summer flowers

and death like autumn leaves

he read word for word

rhymth for rhymth

as if he wanted to anchor it deep down

in my heart.

cry not over your losses

but count your blessings

why ponder where it wilted

when you can look where it bloomed?

we're all made of stardust

hands of creation sweated in making us

fragile hearts, sun-beamed cheeks

love of god, soul of gold.

there is no need to be upset

for that our hearts thrive to beat

our lungs thrive to breathe

as plants thrive towards light

we too, have to step away from the shadow

let light run down our face

submerging to our body, soul and spirit.
